Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has said that the alleged missile strike in Poland showed that the West was inching closer to another World War. Medvedev’s words were echoed by Russia’s deputy representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky. As per a report on the Russian news agency -RT, Polyansky has claimed there was 'an obvious attempt to provoke a direct military confrontation between NATO and Russia.' The Russian diplomat also questioned Ukraine for immediately accusing Russia of the missile strike without providing evidence of the same.
