Spooked by Putin’s Ukraine invasion, Biden expands military footprint in Europe

Joe Biden said the U.S. will significantly expand its military presence in Europe amid Russia threat. This is the latest example of how Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has reshaped plans for the continent’s security and prompted a reinvestment in NATO. "We're sending an unmistakable message in my view, and I think yours as well, that NATO is strong and united, and the steps we are taking during this summit are going to further augment our collective strength. To that end today I'm announcing that the United States will enhance our force posture and respond to the changed security environment as well as strengthen our collective security,” said Biden.
