Sri Lanka introduces 'National Fuel Pass' as Wickremesinghe declares emergency

• Sri Lanka's acting President Ranil Wickremesinghe has declared a state of emergency in the crisis-hit country. This as new administration seeks to quell civil unrest and tackle economic crisis that has plagued the island nation. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's state-run Ceylon petroleum corporation has reduced fuel prices by 20 rupees in a bid to give some respite to the people. This is the first cut in fuel prices after 5 hikes in recent months. The govt has issued a 'National Fuel Pass' for people to get rationed fuel. Watch this video to know more.
