Thumbs up for Chinese products in India? Bejiing claims $67 BN trade in 2022

- The bilateral trade between India and China which hit a record high of $125 billion in 2021 as per Beijing's data, is set for similar growth in 2022 as well. The trade between India and China in the first half of 2022 stood at $ 67.08 billion, with Chinese exports accounting for the lion's share. According to the official trade data released by the China's General Administration of Customs, exports to India have gone up to $57.51 billion, up by 34.5% from last year while Indian exports to China fell to $9.57 billion, a decline of 35.3% compared to first half of 2021. The record trade data comes amid so called boycott of Chinese products in India. However, India has not yet responded to China's trade figures. Watch this report for more details.
