Trauma therapy centre for Yazidis to be set up in Iraq

Of the Yazidi women and children captured by IS, 1,900 have escaped, but more than 3000 other women and children are still believed held captive. But now, with the help of Germany, a new psychological trauma institute at the University of Dohuk in Iraq will train local mental health professionals to help the victims of IS, including thousands of Yazidi women and children. A similar program in Germany has treated more than 1000 abused Yazidi women. But the scars left by ISIS are too deep and the willingness of the victims for the therapy is also a determining factor. Will the program bhi as successful as its predecessor in Germany?
