Trump uses Saudi event to tout Iran war gains, push Riyadh on Abraham accords

U.S. President Donald Trump used his Miami speech at a Saudi sovereign wealth fund event to boast about US progress in the four‑week‑old war with Iran, mock Tehran over the Strait of Hormuz, and press Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords while warning Gulf states about past Iranian threats. He publicly urged Saudi Public Investment Fund governor Yasir Al‑Rumayyan to “go back and explain” that “it’s time now” for Riyadh to enter the Abraham Accords, saying he wants Saudi Arabia to “finally” join. Trump also told Gulf leaders that without US action, Iran would have hit them with “nuclear or whatever they had,” invoking imagery of missiles “raining down” on countries like Kuwait and Bahrain.
