US bid to ease flow of weapons into Ukraine: Biden revives WWII-era Act

US President Joe Biden resurrected a World War II measure used to boost US allies fighting Nazi Germany. He signed the Lend-lease Act saying the US supports Ukrainians' fight to defend their land. The Act will allow the US government to accelerate weapons shipments to Ukraine. "I'm signing a bill that provides another important tool in our efforts to support the government of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in their fight to defend their country and their democracy against Putin's brutal war.
