West ‘gangs up’ on Putin over Ukraine referendums; Russia defends vote at UN

After Russia-installed officials in four Ukrainian regions declared victory in 'Join Russia' referendums, the west has slammed Russian President Vladimir Putin. Voting was held in east Ukraine's Donetsk and Luhansk and south Ukraine's Zaporizhia and Kherson over the last five days. The U.S dismissed the referendum as 'sham' and threatened to drag Putin to UN General Assembly if he goes ahead with annexation plans. The U.S is also preparing a new set of sanctions on Russia. NATO and the European Union too condemned the move and refused to recognise any annexation by Putin. Watch this video for more details.
