Watch | Policeman carried on car bonnet by man high on drugs

CCTV footage has been released showing a Chinese traffic police officer, Pan Wenquan, on the bonnet of a moving car. Police tried to stop the vehicle at around 3 p.m. local time on Wednesday (August 10), but the driver failed to comply. Wenquan was then struck by the car and carried for nearly 1km on the bonnet. The driver later ran away after stopping the car and abandoned drugs in the vehicle which were found by the police. At around 8 p.m. local time the suspect handed himself into police and admitted that he was driving under the influence of drugs. The case is still under investigation.
