Hundreds of people in Thai capital Bangkok clashed with police as massive anti-government protests rocked the city against the alleged mishandling of the pandemic and sluggish pace of vaccination in the country. The protesters hit streets despite a ban on public gatherings and fought pitched battles with police who fired teargas and rubber bullet towards the agitators. Three protesters were injured due to rubber bullet firing during clashes. There is a massive covid surge in Thailand as the country reports more than 20,000 daily average cases.
