Where did passengers aboard flight EK521 go wrong?

An Emirates airline flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Dubai on Wednesday crash landed at Dubai International Airport with around 300 passengers on board. The plane made an emergency landing after a technical snag was reported. Flight EK521 took off at 10:19am and was scheduled to land at 12:50am local time, according to Emirates. But luckily all passengers and crew escaped this horror. Even though there was chaos inside the flight, the crew did their best to manage. We see what are some basic do's and don'ts for us in a situation like this.
