Zelensky’s nightmare comes true: Russia pounds Kyiv with massive overnight missile barrage & drones

Russia has launched one of its biggest overnight assaults on Kyiv in recent weeks, bombarding the Ukrainian capital with waves of drones, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and, according to Ukrainian officials, hypersonic Zircon missiles. The attack came shortly after President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Moscow was preparing a major strike. Residential buildings, a hotel and key infrastructure were hit, with casualties reported as emergency crews searched through rubble. Air raid sirens echoed across Ukraine as explosions were also reported in several other cities, raising fears of a new phase in the Russia-Ukraine war.
