Transcending boundaries, Afghani singer Eltaf Hussain Sarahang, has become a torchbearer in his efforts to uphold the musical legacy of the subcontinent. Son of the famous Afghani classical musician Ustad Muhammad Hussain Sarahang, Eltaf was born in Kabul in 1955. Eltaf came to India in the late 80s when he was forced to abandon war-ravaged Afghanistan. He later migrated to Canada, but his bond with India brings him back now and then.
