On Camera | Rare Sumatran tiger cubs born in British zoo
Updated on Jun 10, 2016 06:14 pm IST
Three critically endangered Sumatran tiger cubs were born at a British zoo on May 31, with one of the births caught on camera with CCTV footage.
The video showed mother tiger “Shakira” caring for her newborns in the first moments of their lives, inside the tigers' den at Paignton Zoo in southwest England.
Sumatran tigers are listed as a critically endangered species by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Only 400-500 remain in the wild in the tigers' native Indonesia, according to the WWF.
