Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal on Thursday became the first Indian-American to run for US presidency, announcing his bid for a Republican candidature. "My name is Bobby Jindal. I am Governor of the great state of Louisiana, and I'm running to be President of the greatest country in the world, the United States of America!" he said at a campaign launch event held in New Orleans. The 44-year-old is the 13th Republican aspirant to target the White House in this election cycle.
