Watch | Elephants replace horses for a fun polo match
Updated on Mar 11, 2016 03:10 pm IST
Polo teams, that included a few rugby stars, took to the backs of elephants for the annual King's Cup Elephant Polo Tournament in Bangkok. While the elephants may not be as fast as the horses that usually participate in the sport, they are fun to watch. Organizers say the event raised more than 400,000 U.S. dollars, which will be donated to various elephant conservation programs in the country. An elephant is one of the cultural and national symbols of Thailand and it is considered endangered.
