The official logo for Paris' bid for the 2024 Olympics was revealed in a light show on the facade of the iconic Arc de Triomphe. The logo consisted of colourful bands forming the number 24 and resembling an Eiffel Tower. The Paris 2024 committee said that the logo is dynamic, iconic, aesthetic and symbolic and aims to send a message of openness, celebration and modernity. Paris is competing against Los Angeles, Rome and Budapest for the 2024 games. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) will elect the winning bid at its session in Peru in 2017.
