Watch | Pope Francis washes feet of refugees in moving ceremony

Pope Francis washed and kissed the feet of Muslim, Orthodox, Hindu and Catholic refugees in a moving ceremony during Holy Thursday Mass at a refugee centre on the outskirts of Rome. Several of the migrants wept as the pontiff knelt before them, pouring holy water from a brass pitcher over their feet, then wiped them clean and kissed them.
In Catholicism, Holy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ before his crucifixion on Good Friday.
The Pope also used the occasion to urge people of all religions to unite in peace.
