During a visit to Toronto International Film Festival to promote The Imitation Game, she said 'the ship has sailed' for her to join the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, reported Ace Showbiz.

Knightley, 29, played Elizabeth Swann and her co-star Orlando Bloom portrayed Will Turner Jr in the first three installments of the Captain Jack Sparrow saga.

The two characters were not brought back for the fourth entry Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in 2011 as Sparrow was given a love interest named Angelica (Penelope Cruz).

After several delays, Pirates of the Caribbean 5 is scheduled for July 7, 2017 release.
