The attack comes after Iran warned of strikes on Israel and Gulf states in retaliation to the attack on its bridges and energy infrastructure.

{{/usCountry}}The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates said it intercepted 18 ballistic missiles, 4 cruise missles and 47 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran.
“Since the start of the blatant Iranian attacks, UAE air defences have engaged 475 ballistic missiles, 23 cruise missiles and 2085 UAVs,” the UAE's defence ministry said in a post on X.
It added that so far the attacks have resulted in the killing of 2 members of the armed forces, while nine other individuals from Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, Palestinian and Indian nationalities were killed.
A total of 203 people were also injured, with injuries ranging from minor to moderate and severe, it said.
