The quake was at a depth of 244 kilometers (152 miles), the EMSC said.

Two Reuters witnesses said strong tremors were felt in Afghanistan's capital city of Kabul.
Last week on Friday, an earthquake of magnitude 5.66 hit the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border.
On August 31, an earthquake of magnitude 6.3 struck 27 kilometers east-northeast of the city of Jalalabad in Afghanistan's Nangarhar province. Over 2,200 people died and over 3,600 people were injured. Several villages were destroyed left thousands of people were left homeless.
