Dubai Abu Dhabi news LIVE: Fresh drone and missile attacks were reported across the UAE and Saudi Arabia as the conflict between US-Israel and Iran escalates. Meanwhile, Israel and Hezbollah have intensified their attacks against one another with fresh strikes reported in Tel Aviv and Beirut.

Dubai Abu Dhabi news LIVE: Fresh drone and missile attacks were reported across the UAE and Saudi Arabia as the conflict between US-Israel and Iran escalates. Trump says Iran war to end ‘when he decides’

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday once again claimed that the war with Iran will end "soon", stating that it will end any time he wants it to end. In a phone interview with Axios, Trump said there is "practically nothing left to target".

Amid the escalating tensions in the Middle East region, Trump said, "Little this and that...Any time I want it to end, it will end." Follow US-Iran war news live updates

Even as Trump hinted that the objectives of his operation have been largely achieved in Iran, strikes and attacks have not come to a halt in the Middle East. Earlier in the day, Israeli defence minister Israel Katz said that the joint striking campaign with the US would go on "as long as necessary".

"This operation will continue without any time limit, as long as necessary, until we achieve all the objectives and decide the outcome of the campaign," he was quoted as saying by news agency AFP.

UAE closes biggest oil refinery

One of the world’s largest refineries in the UAE has been shut as a "precaution" after a drone attack nearby, a source told news agency AFP.

The Abu Dhabi Media Office said Tuesday that a drone strike caused a fire in Ruwais Industrial City in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

"The Ruwais refinery has halted operations out of precaution," a source said, requesting anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

State-owned oil company Adnoc describes its Ruwais facility as "the world's fourth-largest single-site refinery".

Meanwhile, Saudi oil giant Aramco warned about the serious impact the war could have on global oil supplies.
