Grok down: Users report 'Something didn’t go as planned' error amid outage
Many Grok users said they encountered the following error message: "Sorry about that, something didn't go as planned. Please try again."
Update: As of 11 p.m. EDT, Grok appears to be working normally again. DownDetector shows no new outage reports since around 6:30 p.m. EDT on Tuesday. The cause of the brief disruption is not yet known.

Initial report: Grok is down for thousands of users in the United States. According to DownDetector, outage reports began surfacing around 6 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, with users reporting issues affecting both the app and website.
Many users said they encountered the following error message: "Sorry about that, something didn't go as planned. Please try again, and if you're still seeing this message, go ahead and restart the app."
Others reported a different message: "Oops, something broke. Talk to me later."
On DownDetector, users described a range of issues.
One person reported, "Down for me too keep getting “oops something broke, talk to me later??”
Another asked, "Does anyone have the same "unable to load" when trying to generate, then when trying to log-in got an "Authentication Failure" error. Do you guys know how to fix this?"
A third user wrote, "Huh, got a new error message. Says 'Oops, something broke. Talk to me later?' after I try to send a message. In the font it usually does replies in."
Another added, "Grok Ai App is down since last 5 mins. It says "Oops, something broke. Talk to me later?" Hope it resolves."
One user wrote, "Grok is experiencing issues when I ask a question and asks me to call back later."

Users on X (formerly Twitter) also reported disruptions.
One user wrote, “Is Grok down? I ask a question, it appears to think but it doesn’t answer….."
Another added, "It appears Grok has crashed. Anyone else notice errors? Sorry about that, something didn't go as planned. Please try again, and if you're still seeing this message, go ahead and restart the app."
A third user reported, “Grok stopped working in the app and on the web just now.”
The company has not yet responded to reports of the outage.
