Over a thousand users of the app of financial broker Charles Schwab are reporting issues with logging into their account on Saturday evening. Even as the markets are closed, the app is not opening for at least 1500 Charles Schwab clients, as of 3:18pm EDT.
According to Down Detector, a platform that tracks such outages based on users' reports, 1690 Charles Schwab clients complained that they were unable to log into the app.
“We are aware of a widespread technical issue impacting access at this time,” Charles Schwab said in response to users complaining on X. “We appreciate your patience as our teams work to get this resolved.”

Company Responds Amid Complaints
In response, the company's X account Charles Schwab Corps responded by directing users to contact them via DM if the issue persists.
"We are sorry to hear of this and appreciate the feedback. If the issue persists, please call 800-435-4000 to troubleshoot with a technical support specialist. Also, brokers are available 24/7 at 800-435-9050, for trade related matters," the company said.
But the outage started again around 2:33pm EDT, and now more than 1600 users are reporting issues as of 3:20pm EDT.

“What's wrong with Charlse Schwab?” wrote one user. “Or just my account can't login, it's not looking like, their phone doesn't work, chat waiting. Is there something brewing or it is just a tech failure.”
“Can no one else login to Charles Schwab rn????” asked one.
“Charles Schwab is down? Charles Schwab can you fix your outage please,” added one.
The Charles Schwab Corporation serves approximately 39.9 million active brokerage accounts and nearly 10 million banking accounts. As of July 2026, the company handles assets worth $13.04 trillion.
