UPDATE: A suspect is in custody following a standoff Monday evening in McDonald, Pennsylvania, the Allegheny County Police Department has confirmed.
The incident occurred on the 300 block of Fairmont Street, located in Washington County.
Earlier in the evening, Allegheny County Police posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Allegheny County Police SWAT is currently on scene in the 300 block of Fairmont Street in McDonald following reports of shots fired at officers from a residence. There are no reported injuries at this time but the situation is active and ongoing. Please avoid the area.”
Social media reports indicated that multiple shots were fired by the suspect during the incident.
The situation has since been resolved, and the scene is now secure. No injuries were reported.

{{/usCountry}}Washington County dispatch confirmed to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that officers arrived at a home on the 300 block of Fairmont Street just before 10 p.m. after receiving reports of an armed man.
Allegheny County officials told Action News 4 that their SWAT team was heading to the scene to support local law enforcement.
