A large tornado has touched down near Watertown, South Dakota, on Sunday evening. Several people have shared videos of the twister on social media, showing it moving across the landscape. The tornado has prompted warnings from the National Weather Service, and residents in the area are being urged to take shelter immediately.

{{/usCountry}}The National Weather Service in Aberdeen has issued a Tornado Warning for northeastern Hamlin County and southeastern Codington County in northeastern South Dakota. The warning is in effect until 7:30 PM CDT.
According to NWS, at 6:46 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Watertown, moving east at 20 miles per hour.
The storm poses a serious threat, with hazards including a tornado and golf ball–sized hail.
If the tornado develops, it could cause dangerous flying debris, which would be hazardous to anyone without proper shelter. Mobile homes may be damaged or destroyed, and damage to roofs, windows, vehicles, and trees is likely.
