WASHINGTON: Indian American Neera Tanden was among senior members of a transition team named by the Clinton campaign on Tuesday to lay the groundwork for her presidency if she wins.

Tanden was named a co-chair with Tom Donilon, Jennifer Granholm and Maggie Williams. Ken Salazar was named the chairman. A long-time associate of the Clinton’s, Tanden initially worked for her 2000 senate campaign and joined her later as legislative director.

When Clinton ran for president in 2008, Tanden was her campaign’s policy director. She joined the Obama team after Clinton dropped out as domestic policy director.
