Investigators questioned Khatun, who had led a negotiation during the rebellion, and also ruling party leaders, MP Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim and Fazle Noor Taposh recently, 'Prothom Alo' newspaper said quoting CID officials.

Khatun told the investigators she did not meet any BDR soldier ahead of the rebellion, while Selim said some BDR men had come to him earlier for discussion but he told them he had nothing to do about their demands.

Taposh, who too was a negotiator during the rebellion, was summoned to the CID office where he appeared with a written statement, the report said.

Meanwhile, a home ministry spokesman told PTI he saw the report but did not have any idea about the CID talks with Khatun. The Home Minister was not available for comments on the matter.

The mutineers also killed eight civilians, eight BDR soldiers and an army soldier as the two-day rebellion shattered the country just two months after the installation of the new government.
