"Listen to me Jews - you are a nation whose fate has been decreed and sooner or later you will lose the war," read a message, apparently posted by Algerian hackers, 'The Jerusalem Post' reported.

"The victory will come Inshallah. The Chechnya scenario will be repeated and we will kick you out," it said adding, "Millions of young Muslims are ready to die for the sake of Al-Quds that belongs to us" (the Arabic name for Jerusalem).

The hacking is being seen as a severe security breach in which for the first time an Israeli national information website has fallen victim.

The hacker, calling himself 'Moorish' (in reference to Islamic conquerors from the Middle Ages), deleted Bank of Israel notices that were posted on the site up to last October, the report said.

"There is a separation between the bank's information and content systems. It [the hacking] has no effect on the bank's internal system," the Post quoted Sa'adon as saying.
