China's Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday it was "resolutely opposed" to any meeting between US President Barack Obama and exiled Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, saying the issue was highly sensitive.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said in a statement that China "resolutely opposes the leader of the United States having contact with the Dalai under any pretext or in any form".
