A lightning strike that hit a parked plane at Mexico City's airport has sent four employees working nearby to the hospital.

Officials say the workers were apparently injured by the concussion from the afternoon strike, rather than by the electrical charge of the bolt itself. No passengers were on the plane.
The airport press office says the workers were conscious when they were taken by ambulance to a hospital on Friday. There was no immediate information on their condition.
