Ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya was heading on Wednesday to Panama from the United States for the inauguration of the incoming president Ricardo Martinelli, US officials said.

"Zelaya is on his way to Panama to attend the presidential inauguration," a State Department official told AFP on the condition of anonymity. Another official also said Zelaya was traveling to Panama.
