CBSE UGC NET January 2017: today is last date to apply

NET will be conducted in 84 subjects in 90 cities.(Hindustan Times)

Candidates aspiring to appear for the University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) need to apply by today. The registration process for the test ends on November 23. The the last date of submission of fee is November 24, 2016 through e-challan/debit/credit card. Candidates who have applied can make corrections, if any, in their applications from November 28 to December 3. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the test on behalf of the UGC on January 22, 2017. Click here to apply.

The test determines the eligibility of Indian nationals for assistant professor positions and junior research fellowship (JRF) in universities and colleges. NET will be conducted in 84 subjects in 90 cities.

Applicants must not be more 28 years old as on January 1, 2017 to be eligible for the JRF application. Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks at the master’s level or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by the UGC in humanities (including languages) and social science, computer science and applications, electronic science etc are eligible for the test.
