Before the application form becomes available on DU website at 5pm today, you can head to North Campus where university officials will answer your queries on admission guidelines and process.

DU will conduct ‘Open Days’ between 10am to 1pm every day till May 31 to provide the information on courses, colleges and the admission process to secure that elusive seat in one of DU’s 63 colleges. There are about 56,000 undergraduate seats in the university. Last year, it had received nearly 2.5 lakh applications.

Students and parents can visit DU’s conference centre in North Campus to seek information regarding the admission process.

The university conducts Open Days every year to counsel and guide the admission seekers and their parents.

Questions ranging from calculation of ‘Best of Four’ that is used for cutoffs, to minimum eligibility criteria for different courses, are addressed at this platform.

DU has also set up an admission help desk at the conference centre and it will work from 10am till 5pm. “The help desk will work on all days during the entire admission process,” officials said.

There is also an admission helpline number which students can call for help — 27006900.

The admission is entirely online and you fill as many courses in as many colleges as you want in the same form.

The registration fee is Rs 150 for General and OBC candidates while Rs 75 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. An additional fee of Rs 100 each will be taken if you also want to apply for Sports Quota and Extra Curricular Activities (ECA) Quota.

For postgraduate courses and research courses, the online registration will start from May 31. Similarly admission process for nine undergraduate courses, for which there is an entrance, will start on May 31.

DU registrar said the registration process for all programmes and categories will be online. “The eligible applicants are informed that the registration process of all the programmes will be completely online including Sports, Extra Curricular Activities (ECA), Kashmiri Migrants, CW (Defence), and PwD (person with physical disability) categories,” Das said.

The details of registration process and subsequent procedure will be available in a bulletin of information, which will be uploaded online soon on www.du.ac.in.
