Haryana board Class 10 results: Girls outshine boys again

Girls outperformed boys once again by achieving a pass percentage of 52.62% as compared to 45.71% of boys in the Haryana Board Class-10 exams, results of which were declared on Sunday.

Girls outperformed boys once again by achieving a pass percentage of 52.62% as compared to 45.71% of boys in the Haryana Board Class 10 exams, results for which were declared on Sunday.

As many as 3,17,507 students appeared for the exam, out of which only 1,55,191 have passed. A marginal rise in the pass percentage has been recorded this year with 48.88% students passing the exam as compared to 45.84% last year. Rural students score over urban peers

Rural students with a pass percentage of 50.38% outshone their urban counterparts whose pass percentage stood at 45.30%. Private schools performed better than government schools by 2.11 percentage points.

The trends in the districts in Class-10 exam results this year were similar to that of Class-12 exams.

After claiming the top spot in Class-12 results, Sonepat district showed the best results in Class 10 as well, with 69.84% students of the district passing the exam.

Mahendragarh grabbed the second spot with 63.79% pass percentage while Faridabad stood last again with only 34.47% students making the cut. The Haryana government has decided to give free laptops to top 500 students in Class 10.
