Kerala education minister C Raveendranath announced the details of the results during a press conference in state capital Thiruvananthapuram. He said 95.98% students cleared the exam that was conducted in March this year. Last year, the pass percentage was slightly higher at 96.59%.
Out of the 4,37,156 students, who passed the exam, 20,967 scored A+ grade, the minister said.
Raveendranath said 1,174 schools recorded 100% result and out of which 405 are government-run schools. He added Pathanamthitta district of the state recorded the highest pass percentage and the lowest was registered by Wayanad.
The examination was held at 2,933 centres in the state and 9 centres in Lakshadweep and the Middle-East region in which 4,55,906 regular students and 2,588 private students had appeared.
The result was delayed this year as the exam had to be rescheduled after the mathematics question paper was leaked.
