Differently abled couples face uphill battle in adoption

From multiple rejections to extended wait periods, disabled parents go through a biased adoption system in India. In Tamil Nadu, only 11 disabled PAPs adopted children between April 2022 to July 2024. During the same period, 866 people without disabilities adopted children in Tamil Nadu.
