In a horrific road accident involving a head-on collision between a bus and a sports utility vehicle(SUV), eight people including a 10-year-old child of the same family died near Sarangpur in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district.
According to Sarangpur police station officials, on Friday at around 3am on national highway-3 (NH3), the family, all residents of Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh, were travelling in a SUV and were heading towards Lucknow from Mumbai. Upon reaching Dhanora bridge near Sarangpur, all of a sudden a speeding bus coming from Guna collided head-on with their SUV killing 7 of the 8 people on the spot. One of them got seriously injured who later succumbed to his injuries.
“7 of the total 8 people travelling in the SUV died on the spot, while the one who sustained serious injuries was referred to Bombay Hospital in Indore where on the way he succumbed to his injuries”, said Narendra Raghuvanshi, town inspector, Sarangpur.

In two another road accidents in Balaghat, 11 people were injured including a woman who is in serious condition.
In the first incident, a bus heading towards Mandla from Balaghat, turned near Tekadi town at around 6.30am. The bus turned after its driver allegedly lost control, injuring 11 passengers including 1 woman who has been hospitalized after sustaining serious injuries. The other 10 passengers were relieved after receiving primary treatment at a nearby hospital.
In another incident, a bus returning from Kisaan Mahasammelan in Bhopal turned near Waraseoni at around 12.30pm on Friday. Nobody was hurt in the accident.
