Leader of opposition in the assembly, Satyadev Katare, on Saturday alleged that a cook at the Chief Minister’s House cheated a man of Rs 12 lakh by promising that he would get him and his acquaintances jobs as contract teachers.

Katare released the complainant, Nepal Singh Ahirwar’s letter and documents before the media to corroborate transaction between Ahirwar and the accused Mohar Singh.

The Congress leader said the complaint is serious because Mohar Singh cheated others by flaunting his position and links.

The senior Congress leader has urged that chief minister to intervene in this issue and get the complainant, justice. Ahirwar earlier made a complaint to CM House in July but no action was taken, said Katare. In the letter, Ahirwar has mentioned that Mohar Singh claimed that he was close to CM and would get things done.

The appointment to the post of contract teachers is conducted by the professional examination board (PEB). An exam conducted earlier is being investigated by the STF.
