And because of this, the Minister stayed in a hotel which happens to be owned by him and in it he has also housed his ministerial staff.

He said in Bhopal today that the government had allotted him a bungalow in the city but its previous occupant and senior BJP leader, Kusum Mehdele has so far not vacated it.

Incidentally, Mehdele stays in the Panna district and not in the bungalow which is occupied by her relatives.

When asked how it feels to be living in a hotel even though he is entitled to a government bungalow, the Minister said that "compulsion forces one to do many things in life."

"It is unfortunate that the bungalow which is alloted to me could not be vacated till now," he said.

He said the government had informed him that the process of vacating the bungalow was on.

"The government had not given me any deadline by which this process could be expected to be completed," Singh said.
