“The people responsible for making the most memorable occasion of our lives peaceful and beyond beautiful - our lovely wedding planners, Shaadi Squad,” they wrote. The post included a picture of the newlyweds along with the team, all beaming with joy.

Virat and Anushka got married in a private ceremony in a lavish Tuscan town earlier this week. Rumours of their wedding had been circulating for weeks, until it was confirmed by the two in a joint statement.

“Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey,” they’d written.

Shaadi Squad was the official wedding planners while Devika Narain was the wedding designer. Both teams had been working under the radar for a year to make the wedding the grand affair that it was.

Narain wrote on her Facebook page on Tuesday, “The past few months have been nothing short of epic. Congratulations Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, it has been an absolute honour and privilege to be a part of the journey.”
