Actor Ayushmann Khurrana debuted in Bollywood as Delhi boy Vicky Arora, in the film Vicky Donor. On a recent trip to the city, when the actor indulged in conversation about his relationship with Delhi, the peppiness in his voice was evident. “I miss Appu Ghar — the amusement park of the yesteryears,” exclaims Ayushmann, and gradually, the Chandigarh-born star’s affiliations with Delhi, start showing up.

“I’ve always visited the book fair at Pragati Maidan. I like the smell of the old paper in the books. So, that place used to be like a candy shop for me. I love the feel of the Khan Market, especially in winters,” says Ayushmann, who was recently seen in two back to back films — Shubh Mangal Savdhan and Bareilly Ki Barfi.

The actor’s gastronomic tryst with the capital is good enough to advise any food lover to try the best of the delicacies available here. “When you’re in Delhi, it’s most important that you go for the late night eating joints. Not just Pandara Road, but also Old Delhi and Chacha’s joint just outside India Habitat Centre; it serves mouth-watering kebabs and phirni.” Now this is one lip-smacking advice!
