Actor Rana Daggubati turns 33 today!

Actor Rana Daggubati’s career has reached new heights with the Baahubali franchise breaking records at the box office. The actor, who turns 33 years old today, is flooded with projects. So much so, that for the first time, the actor will be working on his birthday.

“My birthday is the only day when I take an off, and I mostly try to stay at home with my family. But this year, there will be a little change. This is the first time I would be working on my birthday. I will be back on around the 20th. It will be a working birthday in the US. I hope it is fun,” says the actor, who played the antagonist Bhallaldeva in both the parts of the multilingual film.

Is there a particular birthday memory that remains etched in his heart, and that he will never forget?

“I remember most of my birthdays but there was this one time when I was in Mumbai, and I started calling all my friends one by one, and it ended up becoming a really big party. I was not exactly planning to have such a huge celebration, but it turned out to be one. This is something I will never forget,” quips Rana.

The actor will soon be seen in an elephant conservation film titled, Haathi Mere Saathi. There were speculations of the film being a remake of the 1971 Rajesh Khanna starrer film. However, Rana denies that. “I will start shooting for Haathi Mere Saathi soon. It’s not a remake, it’s a man and environment film, and that is why it is titled that way,” he signs off.
