As the world mourns the death of New Zealand cricketer Martin Crowe, who died on Thursday at the age of 53, after a long battle with cancer in Wellington, New Zealand, Bollywood too got on Twitter to pay their respects to the legendary batsman.

“What a great batsman. RIP. Martin Crowe dies aged 53,” filmmaker Hansal Mehta wrote on Twitter.
“RIP Martin Crowe,” actor Ayushmann Khurrana paid his respects to the former Kiwi captain.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, too took to twitter to remember the 1992 World Cup’s player of the series. “Sad to hear about the demise of a finest batsman, Martin Crowe. RIP,” he wrote on the microblogging platform.
Crowe was first diagnosed with cancer in 2012 . In a statement, his family said “it is with heavy hearts that the family of Martin Crowe advise his death. The family request privacy at this time.”
