Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor and husband of late actor Sridevi will make a feature or a documentary on his wife. According to reports, he has already registered titles for the same.
He has reportedly settled on three titles called Sri, Sridevi and Sri Ma’am and registered them with the movie registration department of one of the producer associations of Bollywood. Speaking to Mid-Day, the producer accepted that he has registered three titles but refused to divulge them. “There are plans to make a film, but I can’t tell you whether it will be a biopic or documentary. I don’t see the need to rush into anything,” he told the tabloid.
These names are only a few among the 20 odd titles being registered by him, Deccan Chronicle reported. Among Sridevi’s earlier works that Boney has registered are films like Chaalbaaz, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Jaanbaaz and Mr India. He has also got hold of titles like Return of Mr India, it added.
Sridevi died under mysterious conditions on the night of February 24 in a Dubai hotel. She was in the desert city to attend the wedding of actor Mohit Marwah, her husband’s nephew. While the rest of the family had returned to India, the actor decided to stay back to do some shopping. Things turned terribly wrong on the fateful night, when she reportedly drowned in her bath tub even as Boney waited in their hotel room. They were to go for dinner together. An investigation by authorities in Dubai concluded that Sridevi’s end was a case of accidental drowning resulting in death.

Sridevi started out as a child actor in Tamil films at a tender age of four. She went on to work in a number of films in all four south Indian languages, before making it big in Hindi films. Some of her biggest hits include 16 Vayathinile, Moondru Mudichu, Naan Adimai Illai, Mr India, Chandni, Chalbaaz among others.
Her elder daughter Janhvi is on the cusp of making her Bollywood debut in Karan Johar’s Dhadak. Directed by Shashank Khaitan and also starring Ishaan Khatter, the film is a Hindi remake of surprise Marathi hit, Sairat.
