Farah Khan on criticising Kangana Ranaut: I have been misquoted

In the wake of Kangana’s tell-all interview on TV show Aap Ki Adalat, it was believed that Farah Khan is taking an indirect jibe at the Queen actor.

It may sound cliché, but Farah Khan has now said that she has been misquoted by the media about her alleged statement on Kangana Ranaut.

Farah Khan is currently promoting her TV show Lip Sing Battle.

On Thursday, Farah had indirectly accused Kangana of playing the woman card in her fight against Hrithik Roshan and nepotism in Bollywood.

As per a PTI report, she said, “I don’t want to take anyone’s name. I don’t want to get caught in between. But every time you are playing a woman’s card. For me feminism is equality. In such a scenario a man should put himself in a woman’s shoes and vice versa and then it becomes easy to understand each other. One should deal with such matters carefully.”

However, Farah now says that she never took any name. It clearly looks like a ploy to evade criticism. Many people on social media said that Farah shouldn’t have suggested that Kangana’s fight with the Roshans is frivolous.

Whatever be the case, Farah Khan’s statement against Kangana can also be seen as an industry insider’s attempt to get back at someone who is accusing Bollywood of nepotism.
