Bollywood’s critically acclaimed director-producer Madhur Bhandarkar will begin the production of his next movie under the name Indu Sarkar.

Sources confirmed that the movie will be based on the Emergency, a 21-month long period from 1975 to 1977, when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi unilaterally had a state of emergency declared across the country.
‘Bhandarkar made his directorial debut with Trishakti in 1999 and went on to direct several critically and commercially successful films.
The Padma Shri awardee is known for his films like Traffic Signal, Chandni Bar and Page 3 that won him the National Film Award.
The popular drama film, Fashion in 2008 also garnered him several naccolades including Filmfare Awards nominations for Best Director and Best Screenplay.
