The first poster for Tabrez Noorani’s Love Sonia was unveiled Thursday afternoon, just hours ahead of the film ‘s screening at The Bagri London Indian Film Festival 2018. The film, starring Richa Chadha, Rajkummar Rao and Manoj Bajpayee, among others, will open the festival at 6:15 pm (London Time) at Cineworld Leicester Square, London.
The poster shows Mrunal Thakur, who plays the titular role of Sonia in the movie. Love Sonia is inspired by true events and traces the story of a young Indian village girl who is trapped in a sex trade racket while trying to save the one person she is closest to - her sister Sonia.
Director Tabrez Noorani, actors Mrunal Thakur, Richa, Manoj, Rajkummar Rao, Sai Tamhankar and Riya Sisodiya, composer Resul Pookutty and the entire crew of the film will be in attendance at the film festival.
Love Sonia has a strong ensemble cast comprising of Hollywood as well as Bollywood actors including Freida Pinto, Demi Moore, Mark Duplass, Anupam Kher, Adil Hussain, Sunny Panwar.
The film has been shot in Jaipur, Mumbai, Hong Kong and Los Angeles, and will hit theatres in India this September.
