Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi celebrate first wedding anniversary in Mauritius, he says ‘I still feel she’s my girlfriend’

As Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi celebrated their first wedding anniversary in Mauritius, he spoke about the year he has had.

Bollywood actors Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi tied the knot last year in a surprise wedding in Delhi and they celebrated their first wedding anniversary on Friday, May 10. The couple is currently in Mauritius to celebrate the occasion with daughter Mehr. Angad has said that though they are a responsible couple, he still feels Neha is his girlfriend and prefers to enjoy “the lighter side” of things.

Speaking to Bollywoodlife in an interview, Angad said, “I still feel she is my girlfriend. I think we are a couple definitely with responsibility. But we tend to see and enjoy the lighter side of life more. Our friendship was always based on a lot of honesty. We used to be the mirrors for each other and that has helped us grow in our marriage also and it remains the same. Like all couples, we agree and disagree. There was a time when obviously, you take time to make up with them, but the lovely quality that my wife has that if she gets slightly upset she doesn’t let that affect other things. That’s what makes for a beautiful marriage. Otherwise, it’s very honest and that’s how you go about it because you are two different individuals, and you try to balance each other very well.”

Wishing her husband on the occasion, Neha shared an unseen video from their wedding Friday afternoon and wrote, “To the most special #throwback of my life ... thank you for showering my life with all your love ... #happyanniversary my everything @angadbedi @ashishjparmar @raghavramaiah”.

Angad, too, shared a cute picture and wrote, “Just a few days left baby!!! @nehadhupia #singhnaaljodijachdiaekaurdi #10thmay #firstanniversary.”

“This one year has been very blissful. I’ve had a lot of people say many things about getting married and settling down. But for us, we continue from the same place where we started. We still are friends, and yes, we are lovers and we also have a beautiful family. I want to just put it in a simple way that had it not been for Neha, I wouldn’t have settled down. I am very fulfilled and complete with a partner like Neha,” he added.

Angad also said that Neha’s first trip outside India was Mauritius and her daughter Mehr, too, is on the same track. Checkout some of the pictures they have shared from their holiday.

Asked if rumours about their relationship affects him, Angad said, “Rumours will always be there. So, good or bad you have to take them in your stride because you are a public figure. That’s a fun thing that comes with the profession. I feel, if you are doing nothing wrong and if your conscience is clear, there is nothing to get affected by any rumour. So, yeah, we’ve got one life to live and you have to live it to the fullest.”
