After spending a colourful weekend with fiancee Priyanka Chopra and her family in India, Nick Jonas returned to the US on Monday.The singer and his parents, father Kevin Sr and mother Denise, were in Mumbai for a traditional Hindu roka ceremony with which Priyanka and Nick made their engagement official on Saturday.
Nick’s father posted a picture of an Indian newspaper he found on his flight back home, carrying pictures from Nick and Priyanka’s roka on the front page. “Just arrived back home from our wonderful trip to India. This was the newspaper reading material on the flight!,” he posted on Instagram.
Kevin Sr and Denise posted special pictures from the ceremony and the party and welcomed Priyanka into the family with lovely captions. “So happy for the engagement of our son @nickjonas and we welcome @priyankachopra into our family with love and excitement,” Kevin Sr wrote in a post.

Denise also shared a picture of Nick and his dad in matching white kurta pyjamas from the engagement ceremony. Both the men look dapper and happy in their traditional Indian outfits.
Other members of the family, such as Nick’s brothers Joe and Kevin and Joe’s fiance, Game of Thrones actor Sophie Turner, also welcomed their future sister-in-law to the family. “Wow. First I’m blessed with an incredible future brother-in-law, and now such an beautiful, inside and out, future sister-in-law. I’m so excited to welcome you into the family @priyankachopra . I love you both @nickjonas,” Sophie wrote on Instagram.
Nick and Priyanka met at the 2017 Met Gala where they both represented Ralph Lauren. The rumours of their relationship began in May 2018 as the two were often spotted on dinner dates and outing around New York. She invited him to Mumbai and her house a few months ago and he accompanied Priyanka and her cousins to a small beach vacation in Goa.
He reportedly popped the big question on her 36th birthday in July in England.
